Key Features & Benefits – Davies Craig EWP80 aluminium electric water pump kit (12V) - Black
As a DIY electric water pump kit, the Davies Craig EWP80 aluminium electric water pump kit (12V) - Black is a remote-mounted coolant circulation solution with 35mm (1 3/8") push-on inlet/outlet and 90 L/min maximum flow.
It can be installed inline in the lower radiator hose on many naturally aspirated engines up to 2.0L (2000cc) to complement or replace a belt-driven mechanical water pump. The lightweight aluminium housing supports heat transfer, the pump uses a ceramic faced seal for durability, and it comes in a matte black powder-coated finish.
When is this useful?
For simple on/off control setups, the kit includes a basic wiring harness and relay, making it suitable for auxiliary circulation and conversions where the pump is not driven by a belt.

Selection & installation tips
- Hose diameter: confirm hose I.D. to match the 32–38mm fitment range, and plan sleeves if using larger hoses.
- Power & relay: mount the relay in a protected location and use a fused 12V feed with a solid ground.
- Install position: allow enough straight hose length so fittings are not under stress and clamps can seal correctly.
- Bleeding & checks: bleed the cooling system after filling and re-check for leaks at operating temperature.
- Heat protection: secure wiring and connectors away from exhaust and turbo heat sources.
Before installation, verify the 35mm connections, hose diameter, available mounting space and your wiring plan, then compare your measurements to the technical specs listed above.
