All Saver Cell fuel tanks experience 2-4% linear expansion due to fuel exposure, requiring two weeks for size stabilization. To comply with FIA regulations, the cell must be installed within an aluminum container, so always consider the dimensions of the container, not just the fuel cell, for chassis fitment.

FIA-certified fuel cells have a 5-year validity, which can be extended for an additional 2 years, allowing a maximum lifespan of 7 years from the manufacturing date. Recertification must be done by sending the fuel cell back to ATL.
