Key Features & Benefits – AN12 high-pressure braided rubber hose black nylon
The AN12 high-pressure braided rubber hose black nylon is a reinforced rubber hose with a braided structure and a black nylon outer braid for added mechanical protection in demanding routing.
It is intended for AN12-size hose systems where a flexible line is needed for fuel, oil and other operating fluids. It is not recommended for E85; for ethanol-heavy fuels, a PTFE-lined option is the safer choice.
When is this useful?
Use it for custom fuel supply and return lines, oil cooler plumbing, vacuum and turbo-related routing, or fluid transfer setups where AN12 size, durability and bend-friendly installation are key.
Technical specs
- Construction: braided reinforcement with black nylon outer braid

- Outside diameter: 24.38 mm
- Working pressure: 35 bar (500 psi)
- Burst pressure: 138 bar (2000 psi)
- Temperature range: -40 °C to +125 °C
- Minimum bend radius: 114.3 mm
- E85 compatibility: not recommended
Selection & installation tips
- Size confirmation: verify the hose ID (17.46 mm) matches your AN12 hose ends and the system’s required flow path.
- Bend planning: keep bends at or above the 114.3 mm minimum radius to reduce the risk of internal damage or flow restriction.
- Fluid choice: for ethanol/methanol-rich fuels such as E85, select a PTFE-lined alternative for long-term reliability.
- Cut & clean: control braid fray during cutting and remove debris so the hose end seats and seals on a clean surface.
- Periodic inspection: check the hose interior and the areas near fittings for cracking or softening signs over time.
Before installation, confirm the required diameters, pressure and temperature load, and the planned bend radius, then compare them to the technical specs listed above.
